Wood announced the album on Saturday night (April 4) after inducting Bobby Womack into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Cleveland. Wood said that he has recorded about a dozen songs for the record, which will be titled "More Good News", while producer Bob Rock later confirmed that he had worked on a track which featured Vedder.
PEARL JAM reissued its classic 1991 debut album, "Ten", two weeks ago on March 24 in a deluxe edition available in four different versions.
The reissue sold nearly 60,000 copies in its first week of release, with a surprising amount of fans willing to drop almost $140 for the most expensive version, a "Super Deluxe" package containing two CDs, the DVD, four vinyl records, a load of printed memorabilia and a cassette duplication of the original 1990 PEARL JAM demo. The band is currently recording its ninth studio album and first with Brendan O'Brien behind the mixing board since 1998's "Yield".
